There are more than 250 references to angelic beings just in the Bible and most are interacting with humans. and much more in many Apocrypha book, etc By definition, Angels are messengers [Hebrew - Melak or Melakim (plural)]. They have no free-will. They go where they are commanded to go and do what they commanded to do...

Of course not all theologies are created equal and some have a different take on Angels than the original (and only) monotheistic (No 2-fers or 3-bies) Jewish mythology.
Some can do something 'referenced in the Bible" as ones who can involve angels in disguise as many records still today. They travel across the galaxy, or and some call them aliens from another world have sent AI over vast distances, what's so hard about believing spiritual entities from another dimension might appear in human form under God's direction? Hebrews 13:2 (various translations all say the same); "Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it."
Additionally, angels of the Bible are spiritual beings who have personalities that include emotions (Luke 2: 13-14), intelligence (2 Corinthians 11:2, 13) and wills (2 Timothy 2:26). Satan was an angel who was cast from heaven along with many other angels who decided to follow him and chose to sin (2 Peter 2:4). In terms of free will, the Bible reveals this was an exercise of their ability to choose (Jude 1:6).
